Annual Human Rights Campaign
This year’s Annual Human Rights Campaign focuses on the critical intersection between Human Rights and Criminal Justice, highlighting how these two areas are deeply interconnected. The criminal justice system plays a vital role in safeguarding human rights by ensuring that justice is administered fairly and equitably.
ELSA Ireland collaborated with the Irish Council for Civil Liberties to provide a speakers series on criminal justice in Ireland. Topics included the Special Criminal Court, Traveler Discrimination in the Justice System, and Public Opinion and Penal Populism.
ELSA Day, a internationally celebrated event is a massive aspect of the network. ELSA Day consists of hundreds of events around the continent, focused on the Annual Human Rights Campaign.

Diversity & Inclusion
Academic panels on local and national levels operate to promote important discussions on current issues and human rights. Furthermore, our social media aim to platform information regarding important issues and the legal context that surround them. ELSA Ireland’s membership in an international network provides opportunities to learn and support important global issues. This international collective enhances members’ social awareness of peoples throughout the continent and further afield.
ELSA Ireland strives for our competitions to be highly accessible to all students, by providing support to competitors, daunting tasks like mooting, academic writing, and negotiations can become transformative learning experiences for all.
Furthermore, ELSA is dedicated to providing young lawyers and law students access to employment and commercial awareness training. From panel events on niche areas of law, to local board interview competitions and resume workshops, to the network wide ELSA Traineeship program.
